Powstanie Cigars

Powstanie Cigars is a boutique Nicaraguan brand created in 2015 by Polish‑American brothers Mike and Greg Szczepankiewicz, owners of the Cigar Hustler retail shop in Deltona, Florida.

Brand name and theme

• “Powstanie” means “uprising” in Polish, directly referencing the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 and the broader Polish resistance in World War II.

• The logo and imagery draw on Polish underground resistance symbols, tying the brand to heritage, resilience, and rebellion rather than a generic “premium cigar” look.

Factory and production

• Powstanie is made at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, the same factory that produces RoMa Craft Tobac, giving it tight quality control and a well‑regarded house style.

• The brothers worked with Esteban Disla and Skip Martin to create distinct Habano and Maduro blends, then let customers blind‑taste them to choose which would become the core line.
