Crowned Heads Cigars

Crowned Heads is a boutique premium cigar company based in Nashville, founded in 2011 by former CAO executives Jon Huber and Mike Conder and later joined by Tim Ozgener of the CAO family.

Brand and philosophy

• The name comes from a line on Professor Marvel’s wagon in The Wizard of Oz (“acclaimed by the crowned heads of Europe”), reflecting a mix of nostalgia, storytelling, and a bit of rebellion.

• The company positions itself around artisanal quality, balance, and consistency, with a “tradition meets innovation” mindset and a strong music/culture influence in many cigar names.

Production and partners

• Crowned Heads does not own factories; instead it partners with top producers such as Ernesto Perez‑Carrillo (EPC), My Father, and especially Tabacalera Pichardo/TaXa in Nicaragua for many blends.

• Cigars are generally small‑ to medium‑batch, with frequent limited editions that keep the portfolio fresh and highly buzzed in the boutique space.
