Flavor Profile
The Belle Encre is celebrated for its complexity and evolving flavors:
-
First third: Notes of dark cocoa, espresso, cedar, leather, wood, and hints of dried apricot and citrus. Creaminess and baking cocoa are prominent, with a subtle spiciness that intensifies as you smoke.
-
Midpoint: Creaminess increases, joined by sweetness, cocoa, coffee, and leather. A tangy citrus or lemon zest adds brightness, and a touch of black cherry emerges, typical of Nicaraguan blends.
-
Final third: The cigar becomes richer, with pronounced creaminess, cocoa, leather, and a long, balanced finish. Pepper recedes, allowing other flavors to shine.
The body is medium to full, with a strength that leans toward the higher end of medium. The cigar is known for its excellent construction, perfect draw, and abundant smoke production.
