Description
The "La Union" Black series is a limited-edition cigar collaboration between Tatuaje, founded by Pete Johnson, and My Father Cigars, produced by the Garcia family. Here are the key details:
Blends and Wrappers
The La Union series includes two distinct blends, each created by one of the partnering companies for the other. In the Black Box edition:
- Tatuaje for My Father: This blend features a Nicaraguan Shade-Grown Corojo '99 wrapper, a closed foot, and is filled with all-Nicaraguan tobaccos, including the rare Pelo d'Oro varietal.
- My Father for Tatuaje: This blend is wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, has an open foot, and also uses all-Nicaraguan tobaccos with Pelo d'Oro.
Vitola
Both blends are available in a single vitola, the Prominente Especial, which measures 7.25 inches long by 50 ring gauge and features a Cuban 109-style cap.
