The CRA Freedom Pack (often called the CRA Freedom Sampler) is a limited-release, 10-cigar sampler created to raise funds for Cigar Rights of America’s legislative and legal efforts to protect premium cigars. It features exclusive or very hard-to-find vitolas from many of the top brands in the industry and typically comes in a resealable Boveda humidified bag.
What it is
The Freedom Pack is assembled by Cigar Rights of America from cigars donated by major manufacturers, with the vast majority of the sales revenue going to support CRA’s advocacy work against restrictive regulation and taxation of premium cigars. Releases are seasonal (Fall, Winter, Spring, etc.), and each run is capped at a relatively small number of packs, which makes them sought-after among collectors and enthusiasts.
Typical cigar lineup
Each 10-pack Freedom Sampler includes one cigar from about ten different marquee brands, with blends and sizes that are often exclusive to CRA or rarely seen at retail. Recent and upcoming packs feature names like Fuente Fuente OpusX Oro Oscuro, Padrón Black, My Father Garcia & Garcia, La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull, Diamond Crown Maximus, Plasencia Alma Fuerte, Oliva Serie V or Melanio special editions, Tatuaje “Smashed Pumpkin,” and Rocky Patel Sixty or ALR.
